Jeff and Terese’s Petoskey wedding captured every bit of beauty that Northern Michigan has to offer! Lakes, boats, sunsets, beautiful weather, and small town charm. Terese and Jeff started their morning by getting ready at the Bay Harbor Village Hotel. The area overlooks a beautiful harbor filled with rows of yachts. The bride and groom then took a short drive to the gorgeous The Cross in the Woods church in Indian River, Michigan to tie the knot. The Cross in the Woods was declared a national shrine by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop on September 15, 2006. With the largest crucifix in the world (31 feet high for the statue), it has become one of the most famous and most frequently visited shrines in Michigan. It’s really a sight you have to see in person to believe!
Terese and Jeff hit the town to celebrate with their wedding party at Duffy’s in Petoskey. Followed by a classic picture session near the water and lighthouse. The reception was one of the grandest receptions we have ever experienced. A bohemian chic reception that incorporated an eclectic mix of natural, rustic, and vintage details into its design. Filled with gold, marble, dark woods, plums, fruits, and flowers.
From the bride
“Jeff and I met back in grade school, actually. We met back up when we were in high school and were really good friends throughout. We started dating when I was a Freshman in college at Michigan State, and Jeff was a Sophomore at Oakland University. We have been together for about 8.5 years, it will be 9 years together by the time we get married, crazy how time flies! Our wedding party consists of all our friends & family we have gone to school with throughout grade school and high school with, and have stayed friends with throughout college and beyond. Our friends and family are very important to us, and when we aren’t working, we are surrounded by them!”
